Caritas is a Catholic agency run by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops.

Q2. What does Caritas mean?

The name translates from the Latin as " Love in Action."

Q3.  What topics has  Caritas spoken out on recently?

In 2010 the  received more than $3.8 million from both government and private groups.

Q4. Where does Caritas draw its information from?

The gospel values of Faith, Hope and Love explains everything they do.

Q5. Where does Caritas work?
In New Zealand and over seas.

Q6. How much does Caritas receive in donations?
Like question 3, the received more than $3.8 million from both government and private groups.

From schools, people giving donations and the government.

Q8. What does Caritas do in schools?
Helps teachers and students to think about the challenges posed by state of being poor and injustice in the world.

Q9. Does Caritas sponsor children?
We do not make individual children available for sponsorship.

Q10. What does Caritas do that no other Catholic organisation does?
They try to make a difference long term for people who are suffering from state of being poor and injustice.
