How to have an Awesome Kapa Haka Group

This will help you and your Kapa Haka Group, to get ready to perform on stage.

You will need:
. A Kapa Haka teacher
. About 30 kids
. Music / lines
. Poi / taiaha ( optional )
. Audience

1. Firstly ask your Kapa Haka teacher, or Moari language teacher if the can help lead with a future Kapa Haka group.

2. Then ask the senior teachers if their classes can join in the Kapa Haka group, that you want to start up.

3. Next pick two songs and at least two haka's, and then practice them, this will take some time to work on.

4. Make sure the boys have actions to show, and the girls have at least some actions to show when it's their time to perform.

5. You can have a uniform, as long as it has something that symbolizes your school community.

6. Lastly ask the junior school and family if they can watch your Kapa Haka Group perform.

Now your ready to go out and perform at advents like Cultural Festivals or Polyfest, knowing you have an awesome Kapa Haka Group by your side.
